# Funding Your Account

Before initiating off-ramp transfers from the Madhouse Wallet dashboard, your Safe wallet on Base needs a USDC balance. This page covers how to fund it.

## Accepted Tokens & Chains

| Token | Chains                                              |
| ----- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| USDC  | Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, Solana |

**Always send on the Base network when possible** — it has the lowest fees and fastest confirmation times.

## Funding Methods

### From a Centralized Exchange

Transfer USDC directly from Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, or any exchange that supports Base network withdrawals:

1. In your exchange, initiate a withdrawal of USDC
2. Select **Base** as the network
3. Paste your Madhouse Wallet address as the destination
4. Confirm the transfer

Funds typically arrive within 1–5 minutes.

### From Another Wallet

Send USDC from MetaMask, Phantom, or any wallet that supports the chains listed above. Ensure you select the correct network — sending on the wrong network may result in unrecoverable funds.

### Via Crypto Swap

Use the **Deposits → Crypto** tab in the dashboard to swap:

* USDC from Ethereum, Tron, or other non-Base chains → USDC on Base
* USDT → USDC on Base

Fixed-rate quotes lock the rate before you send. Deposit addresses are unique per swap.

## Checking Your Balance

Your USDC balance on Base is displayed on the dashboard home screen and updated in real time.
